Jesus Fucking Christ

So, before I went to bed last night (early yet again), I wanted to see what I could really throw at Roadrunner turbo. Really test it, you know?
I came from crappy old Clearwire, where my average torrent download speed was around 10kbps. Pathetic, I know. So I literally queued up everything I could think of off the top of my head that I wanted, and started downloading. It’s nothing completely ridiculous in terms of how many torrents I ran, but it was quite significant. Enough that it would have taken Clearwire months to download.
When I awoke this morning, about 6 hours later, after my long morning piss I decided to check on my torrents and see how I was doing. I had to sit down for this one…
Everything was done except for one. Everything. The one that wasn’t done was a torrent I previously spent over 2 MONTHS trying to download on Clearwire. Roadrunner Turbo knocked out 50% of it in 6 hours.
10kbps download speed? No sir not for me.
It’s so, sexy!
So over a period of six hours, I downloaded 13 movies, and 21 episodes of Dark Angel. Those are 45+ minutes EACH.
I will definitely be keeping this.
In addition, while googling my way through web sites trying to think of shit to download, I had to pay particular attention to a particular top “whatever” list.
Of all those mainstream movies, the most requested upcoming DVD is “Slutfest”?
America, your trailer park is hanging out… put it back in…
Oh Fuck

Interesting day to say the least, and it’s not even noon yet.
I’ve been up since around 3am (fell asleep around 11pm), and since I was up early I said fuck it and called Bright House to set up cable internet, because I had finally had it with Clearwire.
So I make the call, get everything set up, drive out to pick up the self-install kit, grab breakfast at McDonalds, get home, run wires, hook all the shit up, and… it didn’t work.
Bad cable modem. Just my fucking luck…
Anyways, I returned it, got another, brought it home… that one didn’t work either. Fortunately with the second one, a quick call to tech support got it sorted out. I was about to be really pissed, but I guess it all worked out.
And silly me, the first fucking thing I did?
Make sure my personal web server is working, and fire up the torrents.
Yeah, that’s definitely me.
